pool (no water) - the end.

So, pool (no water) is all done and dusted. With two fantastic performances on Saturday, the show was finished. I, as a cast member, am so proud at how far we have come - and now after sleeping all day and having no voice left I can safely say we put our best and biggest into our show.

Group 5 stuck together with some scares and mishaps, I'm proud of each and every one of my fellow cast members - from those who pushed through despite struggles and pain to those who can now compete against the stronger members in press up competitions.

Despite being very sad to see the end of pool (no water) I now look forward to seeing what Groups 3 & 4 produce for their show next.

Oh - and I think my body may be breathing a sigh of relief after being so active... I've never seen so many bruises crop up on my body within the space of a week. Ah well, the myriad colours a bruise can take. ;)

Also a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who helped with pool (no water). And thank YOU if you came to watch it. You made the experience even more brilliant.

MEET TOMMY!!!!!!!

So as G below said.. yes its true, we did a show after a snow day!!!
Without college before you may think we all rested, but obviously the fluffy white stuff tempted us too much!

This is Tommy, our new member helped welcome in the audience with his lovely cat Boris.

"...Snow falls, like dandruff from a giants head..."

So a recap we just did the third show of pool (no water). having braved treacherous roads and paths the cast had a massive snowball fight and build a new cast member and then did an hours workout, all in all pretty good.

remember you can still get tickets for the matinee so book, book, book

Second Night..

2 Shows down, 3 to go.

It's all going so fast, to think back in September when we started rehearsing bits for this feels like an age ago now and it'll all be over by Saturday is just a crazy thought.

We had another epic show last night with a sold out audience which included 9 theatre proffessionals but they were "blown away by the effort, commitment, discipline and sheer fearlessness of every cast member"

Even though right now its snowing have no fear, Pool (no water) will still go on tonight and tomorrow, so if you fancy getting tickets cause you've heard the buzz about us or you want to see us do it all again then go to www.forestforge.co.uk/pool and there are tickets for Saturday
Matinee or maybe even write us a quick review.

And it's up...

So it was the first performance last night... and from inside we all felt it went well, we had some great feedback from the audience  such as "Boundless energy, exceptional trust, outstanding ensemble mixed together with seamless choreography and gallons of youthful talent. A mind blowing 75 minutes!"

If you saw the show last night, and want to tell us what you thought go to www.forestforge.co.uk/pool and hit the button that says review this show, and share your feelings with us.

The next two nights are sold out but if you'd like to come Saturday during the daytime, book tickets because they are still available.

Hope to see you in the audience soon.

TECH NIGHT

SO HERE IT IS......

The big week begins.... We kicked it all off with a technical rehearsal today this is making sure that all the lights and music come in at the right time and the right level, which means lots of stopping, starting and waiting patiently BUT some beautiful lighting and sound moments happened from this! One of our favourites is the under bed lighting (que ooooooohhh)

Then our lovely photographer Annie, posted some beautiful photo's that she had taken on her webpage of us; so I'll give you the link so you can check them out too, whilst you're there take a look at all her photo's always stunning

Very Busy Week!!

So it's all been going on this week.... On Wednesday we had our first rehearsal back with the director, Lucy now she is feeling much better after being ill, we were joined by Dolly who is running the technical side of things. Along with two younger youth theatre members who are going to run the lights and sound. And we were also joined by David who is the designer. We got lots done, we tweeked the beginning, and practised our physical routines and did some singing and then began a run through.

On Thursday a small group of us put flyers up all round ringwood, in shop windows, hairdressers and bulletin boards trying to get as many people to come along as possible :) so if you still want tickets go ahead and buy... Friday is sold out but there is still tickets on other nights :)

And today, there was lots of rigging of lights, focusing lights and painting, we also managed to pull some costumes out of the costume cupboard  and as always fun and laughter. Everything is looking particularly white and bright and yet more painting to be done.

It's all getting very close now with just 4 days before the first performance so if you haven't got your tickets yet what are you doing? Tomorrow there will be more costumes pulled together and collected and Sunday is another rehearsal for us with a photographer coming in the afternoon to take some beautiful photo's.

See you next week :)

TEA TEA AND MORE TEA (and coffee)

Due to our lovely director Luc being poorly our Sunday rehearsal has turned into a tea infused line run! it maybe a small lounge but like 100 clowns in a mini we all fitted ourselves in nicely, probably because group 5 is just amazing like that! any way blogging from half way through the run whilst I'm unconscious! 10 DAYS TO GOOOOOOO!!!!

Twelve Days Left!!!

We had out first rehearsal back from the Christmas break yesterday and it was just as intense as normal!   Its time to get back into shape and work off the christmas pudding with only 12 days left to our first performance!  We cracked through the show with the lovely David, off scrip for the first time and, although painful, at an astonishing rate of only one hour and nine minutes! We tweaked and twisted certain scenes that needed attention, finding the best and most effective way to portray them. All our characters undergo a journey full of thoughts and feelings. They experience a huge array of emotions and it was important to delve deep and show these truthfully and effectively. But also in a way that worked well with the way the play is written and that tells the story and characters at it best.

It is looking very promising so get buying those tickets!
